About this event

Burlesque Intensive

Learn the ins and outs of burlesque act development & create your own solo (or duet or group number) to perform (optional) live in the student showcase June 15th.

In this intensive, you will learn the elements of burlesque persona & act development, including:

Character & persona, movement & choreo, storyline & act components, confidence & stage presence and more! Classes will be a mix of 'lecture', discussion, activities and movement. Students will begin developing their solos in class and be expected to work on them in between classes.

Each student will have an opportunity to work with the instructor & receive tailored feedback on their solo before performing.

Thursdays from 7-8pm

April 4th-June 13th

$250 (costume not included)

Performance encouraged (but not mandatory) June 15th, 2024

* This class is open to all identities. Some dance or performance experience is encouraged as this is NOT A MOVEMENT CLASS and you will be coming up with your own choreography/act with deep support from professional burlesque performers. It is suggested to take The Femmes Rebelles Beginner and then Intermediate class before trying an act development class, though this is not required if discussed with the teachers.

Please let us know if you are certain you will not be performing in the student showcase femmesrebellesburlesque@gmail.com
