Ivan started with London Life back in 2004 as a financial security advisor, for 3 years he was able to build up to 200 clients and 8 groups within that period of time while he was learning about the industry.
He left Freedom 55 to join his uncle who has been in the financial industry for over 30 years to learn and build a practice with him. His uncle decided to move to Asia after a few years.
Shortly after that Ivan wanted to learn more about the investment side, he worked for Vancity as an in-house investment specialist for a few years working in the Dunbar branch working with high-net-worth clients.
Ivan went back to Freedom 55 as a para-planner/associate planner with some of the top advisors and was able to work with clients in the business market.
An opportunity came up for him to become a director at Sun Life Financial where he was hiring and training new advisors and running the firm.
After coming back to Freedom 55 as an advisor, he partners with Enoch Weng to specialize in financial planning with the Christian market. He is focusing on providing relationship based expert financial planning, based upon biblical wisdom, in order to achieve financial wellbeing for his clients.
He decided to start a new firm called Rise Above Finance Inc with Enoch in 2020. Ivan is the COO and Certified Financial Planner on the team. The team has grown to 7 members since inception in Oct 09 2020
