CFUW St. Catharines House and Garden Tour 2024

Sunday, May 26, 2024 is the 50th celebration of the CFUW St Catharines House & Garden Tour ... a one-of-a-kind event. Visit four homes that you have always wanted to step inside: some of our city’s finest and all for a great cause! Gather your friends for a memorable afternoon, celebrating local architecture, décor, gardens and history. Every property has a unique story. Then kick back at the Spirit In Niagara distillery, listening to Dr. Ian Ellingham, educator at the School of Restoration Arts at Willowbank, speak about the value of heritage architecture at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4 p.m.

Each property on our 2024 House and Garden Tour represents a different architectural epoch.

An 1850's Grand Historic House displaying a stunning blend of exterior neo-Greek Revival elements with energy-efficient features and interior modern luxuries is pictured below.

Other properties include:

• A Story-Book Tudor Manor with a distinguished pitched-gable roof, timbering, brick and graceful gardens that combine to evoke the nostalgia of days gone by;
• 1970's Mid-Century Gem with original sleek design, open spaces, and wide windows embracing the seasonal beauty of the Niagara escarpment;
• 2000's contemporary Sleek Dwelling with soothing colour palette and calming ambience to escape the distractions of modern life.

Fundraising History

Since 1973, CFUW St. Catharines has raised funds through our annual signature event - a House Tour - plus other Club activities. We added gardens to our house tour in 2021.

Donations to our Charitable Fund support women's scholarships and agencies supporting women and children in Niagara. To help us reach our goal of $20,000 in 2024, DONATE HERE.
