About this event
This formal includes appetizers, entertainment and a silent auction, in addition to a band and DJ to keep you dancing for the evening. All of the money raised from this event is donated to a local Hamilton charity. We are pleased to announce that Hamilton Food Share will be this years' recipient.
FAQ's
Q: I do not own a credit card, can I pay by debit or cash?
A: YES. You can now purchase tickets online using your debit card! Cash will not be accepted.
Q: I forgot my McMaster student ID at home, can I still attend by showing my class schedule, or a photo of my ID?
A: No. You must show a physical, valid McMaster student ID alongside a ticket to enter the venue.
Q: Are alumni allowed to attend the event?
A: Yes – please bring your McMaster student ID with you to the event.
Q: Can I bring a guest? How many guests can I bring?
A: YES - there is a 1 guest per student limit. Your guest must present a piece of government issued ID, a valid ticket and be signed in by you. *Guests Must be 18 years or older* Please note, you and your guest must each have their own ticket.
Q: Is there a separate guest ticket I need to purchase for my guest?
A: No, there is not separate guest ticket. If you would like your guest to attend, they must purchase a regular Charity Ball ticket to attend.
Q: I can no longer attend the event but bought a ticket already, can I get a refund?
A: We will allow refunds up to 1 week before the event. After this deadline, tickets are non-refundable.
Q: I never received my PDF ticket.
A: This sometimes happens if there was a typo in the e-mail you put in. Please email events@msu.mcmaster.ca with your name and correct e-mail and we will check to see if this is the case.
Q: Are there shuttle busses to the event?
A: There are no shuttle busses to the event, however, HSR lines 5 and 51 go from Sterling & University to Main & Macnab, which is the nearest stop to the Hamilton Convention Centre.
Q: Is there a coat check?
A: Yes. Coat check is available inside the venue and is run by the venue staff. There is a charge to check in your coat at the venues discretion. The MSU and Charity Ball are not responsible for items that may have been lost or left behind via coat check.
