What a year it has been! To celebrate and show our appreciation, we are hosting a year-end BBQ for all hosts and their Canada Homestay Network students to attend. UCDSB international students who are not a part of the CHN homestay program may join this event for a small fee.
Please join us on Saturday, June 8th from 11:30AM/Noon until 3:30PM at Hardy Park in Brockville, along the shores of the St. Lawrence River. The BBQ lunch will be served from Noon until 1:30PM with games and opportunities for prizes to follow!
Note: there is very limited seating in Hardy Park. Please bring your own seating.
Some bus transportation is provided and, due to seating limitations, is on a first come/first served basis - One bus will leave from Cornwall, one bus will leave from Rockland District High School, and a 3rd bus will be traveling from Carleton Place High School. Buses will depart from Brockville at 3:30PM. Please let us know if you intend to make use of the free busing service when you RSVP for the event. Bus pick up/drop off times will be sent at a later date.
PLEASE NOTE:
- The deadline to register for this activity is Thursday, May 30th at 4PM.
- Items to bring with you: camping chairs, picnic blanket, small cooler if you want to bring your own goodies, any games or sports equipment such as soccer ball, frisbee, football, badminton set, etc.
- This event is for CHN host families and their students to attend together. This is not a student trip. Families may bring a maximum of 4 family members - CHN international students are not included in this maximum.
-UCDSB international students who are not a part of the CHN homestay program may join this event for a small fee.
- If you register then discover you, or someone in your party, cannot attend, please notify us at trips@uclc.ca by no later than Friday, May 31st. Food is being purchased based on the number of attendees, therefore accurate attendee numbers are important.
