Chouette! Trio Concert for the eve of Saint Jean-Baptiste

Come join us for a Sunday afternoon concert at the Little Red Church! This will be a family-friendly event, kids 12 and under are free. Venez nous joindre! The Chouette! Trio will be performing a special concert of music from French Canada in celebration of the eve of Saint Jean-Baptiste. Our trio - Brie Beaulieu, Filipe Andrade and Amy McCallum - features violin, guitar, bass and vocals doing arrangements of a variety of tunes from voyageur paddling medleys all the way to present day . Come hear our interpretations of Harmonium, Beau Dommage, Quebec Redneck Bluegrass Project, Karkwa, Fred Fortin, les Trois Accords, Emile Bilodeau, Daniel Lanois, Jean LeLoup, Karim Ouellet and more. We're very honoured to have our musical guests Lyall Steel and Isabelle Durand bring their classical guitar and vocal chanson performance to our event as well. On a hâte de vous voir!

Where can I park?

The Little Red Church is accessible by transit or vehicle. There is some parking at the venue (2182 Comox Avenue) or along the road.

Are kids welcome?

Evidemment! It's a family friendly afternoon event and kids under 12 can come at no cost. There is some room to stretch legs or have kids get their jiggles out in the venue as well. We will sell juice, snacks and cookies at intermission.

Is there an intermission?

Yes, there will be an intermission after the first set - we'll have the concession open with cookies, snacks and drinks available for purchase.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the Little Red Church is wheelchair accessible and has a handicap washroom as well.

Les deux - this is a bilingual event and all are welcome! It's a great introduction to music from French Canada if you're new to it. Venez entendre un peu de l'immense variété de notre musique franco-canadienne.
