Event description

Description

Join Operation Fruit Rescue Edmonton at the orchard at McCauley School on Saturday, August 19th from 1 to 4pm to press the seasons' bounty of apples for cider making! We ask that you bring your apples along with cider carrying containers (i.e. Jars, jugs, bottles, etc.) to take your prized liquid gold home. 1/4 of all cider created will be retained by OFRE for the bribing of volunteers for their handy efforts on orchard maintenance.

We are also in need of assistance from able bodies to help install siding on our shed at the Orchard, as well as erect shelving within the shed for organization of our pressing supplies. Volunteers will be garciously rewarded with fresh pressed cider and piping hot pizza for their efforts.

This event will take place rain or shine. Closed toe shoes are required on the orchard site for safety.
