About this event
As of Dec. 22 this event is moving forward at 50% capacity within the Province's recently announced holiday event restrictions. We are not considered a social gathering nor party. Please support local artists by grabbing a ticket and attending. We'd love to have you!
It all starts early at 7:30pm, leaving you enough time to get home to bed with the little ones, or continue the festivities elsewhere to ring in 2022. The show is fun for all ages, but not just for kids!
Run time: 80 Minutes, No Intermission or audience participation this year due to the ongoing pandemic.
Infants in arms require a complimentary ticket. Please contact us to request a ticket for your infant including your order number.
COVID-19 policy + protocols
Last updated: December 20th
Under new provincial health restrictions we will be operating at 50% capacity. Masks are required at all times. Guests are to remain seated throughout the show.
Vaccination Verification
As mandated by BC provincial health authorities, proof of vaccination is required for entry into all theatres in British Columbia, including ours, as of October 24th 2021. Our guests 18 and over will need to present their BC Vaccine Card to be scanned, matched with their government-issued ID. Youth 12-17 must show proof of vaccination, but not ID. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the proof of vaccination requirement. Regulations for out-of-province and international guests vary, please check current provincial requirements before arrival. All Circus3 and Vancouver Civic Theatres artists, staff and volunteers will be fully vaccinated.
Mask Policy
Per provincial health regulations, all attendees aged 5+ are required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth when entering and leaving, and while seated (except when actively consuming food or a beverage). See Beyond What Is Required for details.
Contactless
Our ticketing is now contactless with reserved/assigned seating. We require all guests to sit in their assigned seat. Tickets can be printed-at-home or presented on your phone. If you experience any difficulties, please visit a box office window outside before entry. Contactless payment (credit and debit) for in-person ticket purchases is strongly encouraged, cash is accepted with exact change only. The concession accepts card payments only.
Beyond What Is Required
No Intermission
For the safety of our guests, all our performances until September 2022 will be presented without an intermission. We realize intermissions are a fun opportunity for our guests to grab a drink and chat about what they’ve experienced on stage, however we feel for now extra congregating in our theatre aisles and lobbies isn’t the safest choice. Your safety is our priority.
Distancing When You Leave
After the final bow and standing ovation (hopefully) we ask our guests to remain seated until directed otherwise. Our ushers will invite you to exit row by row to allow for social distancing. We thank you for your patience with this safety measure.
Reduced Capacity
All 2021 performances, including our New Year’s Eve Variety Show, will operate at a reduced capacity regardless of provincial regulations. We realize that as a seated event sometimes we are able to operate at full capacity, but as we are a circus production group safety is our top priority. Instead, we had opted for 75% capacity because we believe it is the safest thing to do. Now with the current provincial health guidelines we will be operating at 50% capacity.
Our best seating, closest to the stage, within what we call the orchestra level, will be assigned as normal. You may be seated next to other guests, and can briefly remove your mask when consuming food and beverages.
We realize that some of our guests have elevated health and safety concerns and proudly offer distanced seating within our physically-separate mezzanine and balcony sections for those that wish physical distancing was still a mandated thing province-wide. Additionally, food and beverages are not allowed in these sections and you must strictly wear your mask throughout the entire performance. These tickets are not available via online purchase, you must call our box office at 604-817-1315, and are extremely limited.
