Please join us for the third session of the CJiP series: Corrections & Community Sanctions, focusing on gangs, inmate hierarchy and culture.

Sgt Marlene Lariviere worked as a Correctional Officer for 22 years – in 5 different jails across the province. She has been a Sergeant for 7 years and has had different roles as a Sergeant, with the role of Institutional Training Manager presently. Sgt Lariviere is in her 3rd year of teaching at Fanshawe College in the Advanced Law Enforcement Program teaching Security & Corrections. Since 2006, she has been heavily involved in the community by participating and facilitating the Grade 5 Program Racing Against Drugs, and the Grade 6 Program Values, Influences and Peers. Sgt Lariviere has been presenting facts about the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre to multiple community partners, University of Western, Fanshawe College as well as a speaker for the EMS mandatory learning modules.
