This session : Computational Thinking Across the Curriculum (including assessment)

The ADST curriculum from K to 9 is built on the model of integrating the applied design process into other subject areas. This workshop will allow teachers to explore cross-curricular lessons involving coding and computational thinking to demonstrate how this problem-solving strategy can be applied in subjects such as language arts, physical education, science, and math. Discussions and hands-on activities will allow participants to leave this session with a better understanding of creating meaningful interdisciplinary lessons, of assessment of curriculum and self-assessment of core competencies.

**Please note, we will require a minimum number of participants to run these workshops. Sessions will be cancelled the day before the event if there are not enough registrations. If a workshop fills up, participants that are on a waitlist will be alerted the day prior to the event of any openings.

Please note : This session is based on Science World’s professional development offerings for teachers. Contact us if you’re interested in Science World delivering a particular session for staff at your school. https://www.scienceworld.ca/pro-d
