Event description

Description

Get started with the Virtual Firewall Service!

In April 2018, Cybera launched a virtual solution to ease the cybersecurity resource constraints faced by Alberta’s public sector. The first of its kind in Alberta, the Virtual Firewall Service (VFS) removes the need for schools to host their own physical firewall appliances. The service is now available to K-12 schools and smaller post-secondary institutions.

In this workshop, we will show VFS members how to get their virtual firewall set up using the Palo Alto firewall virtual machine (VM).*

*The Virtual Firewall Service utilizes a Palo Alto firewall solution, housed on Alberta’s Rapid Access Cloud. The software firewall is the Palo Alto Networks VM-100, VM-300 and VM-500.
