The fourth e-forum in our series of five, Creating and implementing a strategic plan for community-wide youth suicide prevention/life promotion initiatives,will take place on Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST. The Centre will facilitate the panel discussion, which will feature representatives from Waterloo, Grey Bruce and Thunder Bay, they will share tips when preparing and implementing a strategic plan for community-wide youth suicide prevention/life promotion initiatives.
Learning objectives
- Hear from Ontario communities that have been through the process of creating and implementing a strategic action plan to address youth suicide
- Learn how to set the stage and prepare for successful strategic planning and implementation at the community level
- Explore barriers and opportunities to the various stages of the strategic planning process
About the e-forums
The Ontario Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health (the Centre) is pleased to host a series of FREE e-forums, bringing together stakeholders from across sectors and communities as well as young people and families with lived experience – all working in the area of youth suicide prevention.
These e-forums are part of Ontario’s youth suicide prevention plan, which supports Ontario’s Mental Health and Addictions Strategy. The topics have been selected based on feedback from over 400 mental health professionals working in youth suicide life promotion/suicide prevention, risk management and postvention across the province.
