Classes at the 1909 Culinary Academy combine a hands-on cooking experience with delicious tasting experiences.
This exciting new theme was inspired by the young chefs in our kitchen. Dough is so simple and yet so versitile, which makes this a great event for youth to join in on.
Together we'll start off by making soft pretzels along with a spicy german mustard for dipping.
Next we'll take on sourdough (for beginners). Think you can’t bake artisan sourdough bread at home? Think again! This will be a simple, easy sourdough bread without kneading.
What goes perfectly with fresh bread? Fresh Strawberry Jam. We'll make a batch together to spread on our sourdough.
We'll finish our evening with a batch of Bernia's award winning Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Our evening culminates as we sit down together to enjoy the dishes that you have prepared together. Weather permitting we can sit on the patio.
The 1909 Culinary Academy is licenced, with a drink list of beer, wine, and cocktails available throughout your event.
Sometimes we have leftovers, so please bring your own reusable containers to help us reduce the use of single use plastics.
