About this event

Individuals and groups working on issues related to peatlands in Canada are invited to participate in this online workshop.

The purpose is to gather key individuals and groups in the peatlands, carbon-rich ecosystems, and climate policy spaces to begin a conversation around the future of peatlands.

The workshop will include:

Part 1 (1-2:15pm):

  • Context-setting: Peatlands and their carbon services, the National Peatlands Policy Project and research findings to-date
  • An interactive session to gather input on a vision for peatlands in Canada and identify key elements of a strategy to achieve the vision
  • Introduction to a detailed follow-up survey

Part 2 (2:15-3pm):

  • More in-depth discussion
  • Q&A

Participants are welcome to attend only Part 1 or the entire 2-hour workshop.
