Description

Do-it-Yourself Public Relations

Public Relations is a huge engine – it has the power to grow your product, service and brand! Unfortunately, it also comes with a huge price tag. Today’s entrepreneurs are doing it all themselves on a budget. In this workshop, you will learn how to harness your own skills to get media attention and use social media and the internet to your advantage. You can write your own press releases, start your own campaigns, and get the attention of the public without the help of a big PR firm! It is doable – we promise!

Participants will:

1. Identify the dos & don’ts of writing a press release and starting your own campaigns
2. Practice creating a PR plan using best practices
3. Identify and utilize different mediums to gain publicity
4. Understand the importance and use of social media sites, including the associated tips and tricks

Targeted to small-to-medium sized London, Ontario business operators/managers. Priority sectors include Digital Creative, Professional Services, Manufacturing, Food Processing, and Health and Life Sciences.

This session has been generously sponsored by the London Economic Development Corporation. It is important that if you register, you do attend. A no-show fee will be charged to registrants who do not attend.
