AN ALTERNATIVE TO SPEED DATING! This speed mixer will combine the elements of speed dating and also a social mixer. Bring your business cards as this is also an opportunity for networking and meeting new friends. It is better than speed dating as you are not obligated to sit and speak with all attendees!
We will have an icebreaker activity, a game and lots of time for mingling. Attendees will have 6 minutes to chat with anyone of their choice and at the sound of the bell will select another person to chat with.
Let's get off those apps and try something different. All within an atmosphere that has low volume music where you can hear each other speak! All you have to do is show up and just start talking to anyone even someone of the same gender! Come with an open mind. Every effort will be made to keep the gender ratio balanced, however no guarantees can be made.
The event takes place at a trendy cafe in Whitby. Ticket includes a STANDARD COFFEE OR TEA PLUS ONE PASTRY/SALAD/SOUP/CAKE/SMALL SANDWICH which can be consumed at the venue or can be taken to go/take away. You will be given a voucher for the food and drink and you can get it any time during the event.
Attendees are encouraged to initiate exchanging contacts at the event. (If you are asked for your contact information but do not feel a romantic vibe with the person, you can always let them know that you would be happy to exchange contacts but that you feel more of a friendship vibe). If you want to be connected with someone but are not sure if they are interested, feel free to send us an email after the event we will try to play matchmaker after the event is over! Make sure to pay attention to attendees names and a way to identify them!

The event will start exactly at 6pm so please arrive 15 minutes early to check-in and grab a name tag.
Spots are limited. No refunds. Only limited tickets MAY be available at the door, please send an email or direct message at least 3 hours before the event to ask before showing up.
