Come celebrate the Region's 50th anniversary by attending a free open house on Saturday June 15 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Durham York Energy Centre (1835 Energy Drive, Courtice).

Explore waste management displays, play waste sorting games, visit truck displays and more!
Staff will be on site to answer questions and to educate residents about our waste programs and services.
- Guests interested in guided tours to the Control Room must preregister before the event. We will do our best to accommodate additional tours during the event as space exists.
- Tours are approximately 20 to 25 minutes in length.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
- Tours are accessible with elevators on site.
- While staff will do their best to ensure tours run on time, slight delays may occur throughout the day.
- Strollers are not recommended due to space limitations at the facility.
