Eco-friendly Craft Workshop Series at McDougall: Whimsical Wee Houses

This spring we're partnering with our good friend Jennifer Robles, creator of Jen of Green Gables, to offer some fun-filled and eco-friendly DIY craft workshops at McDougall Cottage.

May 18th - Upcycle DIY: Whimsical Wee House Making Workshop

Plan to join us for an afternoon of eco-friendly fun and creativity! Let your imagination be your guide as you create your very own Gnome Home or a Fairy House (the choice is yours).

Dive into a world of whimsy and eco-creativity led by our good friend, Jennifer Robles from Jen of Green Gables! Jen will guide us through this delightful day of crafting, as we fashion enchanting Gnome Homes and Fairy Houses, using only repurposed and natural materials.

Cut, paint, and decorate your own unique masterpiece to proudly display in our home or garden.

All materials will be provided, so come along and let's craft our way to a greener, more magical world together!

Space is limited, so reserve your spot soon! If the weather smiles upon us, we'll take our artistic adventure outdoors to the Cottage’s cozy backyard.

Cost: $25 per child (plus Eventbrite fees)

Please Note:

This hands-on workshop is best for children aged 9+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

A bit about Jen:

Jennifer Robin Robles is a mixed-media artist and the creator of Jen of Green Gables, which focuses entirely on developing public art projects/programs, upcycled clothing and gifts and special events rooted in low-waste concern for the environment. Born in Montreal and based in Galt, Ontario, she has a background in Journalism. With a fond connection to nature and community, Jennifer has set the intention of imploring through storytelling and workshops - simple ways to live more sustainably.
