FEED THE NEED IN DURHAM is proud to present our annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser, presented by Whitby Subaru and Canadian Progress Club Durham Region Women!

Join us on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 for an evening of delicious food, beautiful art, and great music at Feed the Need in Durham’s annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser! Indulge in mouthwatering dishes prepared by local restaurants, while admiring the beautiful art in the Robert McLaughlin Gallery - all while helping us raise funds to nourish our community!

Enjoy cuisine from local culinary favourites, including The Crooked Uncle, The Yardbird, Lowlands Fire Foods, KB Foods, Thermea, Starapples, Durham Distillery, and Butchies! Best of all, 100% of proceeds will be allocated to helping fulfill our mission to alleviate hunger by providing fresh and nourishing food to people facing food insecurity in our community.

Empty Bowls started as a grassroots movement by artists and craftspeople in cities and towns around the world to promote hunger awareness and raise funds for food charities. Our signature Empty Bowls event leverages cuisine to bring the Durham Region together while spotlighting local restaurants and talented chefs.

ABOUT FEED THE NEED IN DURHAM

Operating as a registered charity since 2009, Feed the Need in Durham is Durham’s Regional Emergency Food Distribution Centre. Covering the largest geographical jurisdiction in the GTA, our boundaries stretch over 2,500 sq. km of territory. Working collectively with over 65 hunger relief programs, hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of community supporters, we procure and distribute over 1.6 million safe & nutritious meals annually.
