In an undefined space and an undefined time, Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice takes the myth of Orpheus and re-centres it around his wife, Eurydice. We follow Eurydice and Orpheus’ marriage, her encounter with a Nasty Interesting Man, and her time in the Underworld, reuniting with her Father and meeting a Chorus of Stones. This retelling delves into themes of family, memory, and loss, exploring how by remembering those who we lose, they are never truly gone.
