TOURISM SEASON OPENING EVENT

You can do this event and enjoy all the events as you go.

We have pulled some pretty crazy photos out of our participants, but we think this one is going to be the best yet.

As part of the Tourism Season Opening and Oceans week, 20 strategically obscure photos will be taken of Campbell River's iconic visitor destinations. You will get to be a tourist in your own town as you uncover some pretty hilarious and challenging photos.

The morning of June 1st, one hour before the hunt, you will be supplied a map and 5 challenges to complete at each photo location. You then upload the photo to facebook with the link we provide as you go. All 5 challenges appear in each photo, you earn points and then race to the next location. There are 20 photos in total.

Cost: Per registered team $5.

If you need a hint you lose points.

When you register you will receive the • The Hunt Map • The Rules • The Challenges •The Photos you need to find.

Someone in your team will need a facebook account. Only those that are registered can upload photos.

The judges will be judging all photos throughout the day. Benny McGrath from What's On Digest will be live through out the day cheering you on, giving hints, and some step by step instructions in case you get stuck.

The winner wins $500 cash first prize. 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive a gift basket from Destination Campbell River.

The Photo Hunt will run during the Tourism Season Opening, where the whole day will be filled with free and discounted tours from whale watching company's, kayaking, bike rentals, helicopters and paddle boards.

There will be events happening at the Spit, Robert Ostler Park, Shoppers Row and Ken Forde Park. Businesses are pulling out the stops doing specials and features to bring in Summer.

FREE Tours, Beach Fire Party at Ken Forde Park, Maritime Heritage centre will be celebrating 20 years. Activities all around town from 10am to 10pm, for the whole family. Check the Schedule below to see the full itinerary for the day.
