Date and time
Location
Northlea United Church
125 Brentcliffe Road Toronto, Ontario M4G 3Y7 CanadaDescription
This is an opportunity for members of the community to connect, reflect on, and discuss what democracy in our context means and how we can participate in it from a secular and a faith perspective. It will help those participating to identify their own strategies for serving the world given the many challenges facing democratic societies today.
Our guest facilitator, Steve Dart, studied History and Political Science at the University of Toronto and earned an M.A. in History from York University. He was a teacher of History and Social Science at both Earl Haig Secondary School and at A. Y. Jackson Secondary School, where he was Head of the Social Science Department. He now works part-time as an substitute teacher for the Toronto District School Board. He is an avid follower of current events and political developments at the local, national and international level.
