About this event

  • 3 hours

An immersion into the magical world of plants for families looking to be out and gather in an inspiring place to learn and play.

Whether they grow close to our homes or in the forest, plants hold many gifts for us.

We will engage our observation skills, our child’s eyes and our whole body as we meet some of them, harvest them and transform them together.

Kid friendly hands-on exercises, proper harvesting practices, common plant identification and herbal preparation will all be part of this fun afternoon.

Everything is included. All activities will be held outdoors.*

*Riverwild Gardens is an off-grid property located at km 22.7 Annie Lake Road in Mount Lorne.

What is your refund policy?

We provide a full refund for cancellations up to 15 days before the event. We provide a 50% refund for cancellations up to 5 days before the event.

Why sliding scale and how does it work?

The goal is to make our plant workshops at Riverwild accessible for families who are less comfortable financially and to allow flexibility for both small and large groups to register. You are invited to pay based on your family size and what is available to you within the price range.

Will the content be suitable for any age group?

Yes. We will be all together and in split groups. Adults will be involved as participants and as leaders at times. Older kids or teenagers will be presented with extra activities to keep them engaged. We won't have baby or toddler-specific content, but we will adapt the activities if they join.
