Come enjoy a farmers market atmosphere while supporting local farms, vendors, chefs and beverage producers with lots of local history mixed in. Come celebrate Food Day as you sample and purchase locally grown ingredients and beverages. Bring the family and enjoy the sunshine, ride the miniature train, pet the baby animals, bring a picnic planket or lawn chair if you'd like, there's plenty of green space at the event.

Please be prepared to provide proof of purchase and ID for those drinking alcoholic beverages.

Started over 20 years ago by the late Anita Stewart, Food Day Canada helps shine a light on all those who work so hard growing, producing, harvesting and preparing Canadian ingredients while also educating Canadians about this country's amazing culinary landscape.

This year, as guests on the territory of the Tsawout First Nation, our annual celebration will take place at Heritage Acres on the beautiful and abundant Saanich Peninsula. Come learn about interesting, innovative and delicious initiatives taking place in the region while having the opportunity to purchase a locally sourced meal prepared by Chefs from the Island Chefs Collaborative.

We look forward to celebrating together with you on August 3rd, 2024 and to show our love and support for this amazing culinary region that we call home!
