About this event

A collaborative offering on behalf of Work Integrated Learning (Student Services), Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Administrative Group and Human Resources

The landscape of Canadian post-secondary education has shifted dramatically in the past decade with increased equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) efforts alongside the Calls to Action (2015) from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. As faculty and staff, engaging in our own intercultural development enables us to model the behaviours we wish to promo promote on our campuses.

This online professional development opportunity is designed to promote intercultural skills and knowledge, with a specific focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion at SFU. The course is intended to also connect you with a community of like-minded learners from across SFU, and encourage the development of a sustainable community of practice around intercultural and EDI issues at SFU. It is based on academic theories and evidence-based models designed with visually-based infographics and videos.
