The atmospheric river and severe floods of November 2021 took a heavy toll on many people, especially farmers in the Fraser Valley. Different levels of government and other groups are talking about ways to help reduce flood damage in the future. It is important for farmers in the Fraser Valley to understand some of these ideas, too. This will help in communicating which flood solutions make the most sense for agricultural producers in this region.

Join us for an engaging in-person workshop for nursery/flower grower/greenhouse farmers in the Fraser Valley. You will learn about strategies that governments are considering to build resiliency for future flood damage. You will also hear about how farmers in different parts of the world are trying to deal with floods. An educational resource package will be provided.
