• CEDRIC NEWMAN (Toronto) --- Jamaican born and Montreal bred, smilesmith Cedric Newman comes armed with a heavy-hitting style, fine-tailored to make your stomach hurt.This decade old veteran to funny business has graced stages from Stockholm to Cape Breton. Cedric draws from observations of the mundane and from the versatility of the idiosyncratic. He crushes cultural barriers, bringing new and animated angles to the otherwise familiar. Cedric Newman is one comic not to be missed!

• STAN THOMPSON (Calgary via Hamilton) --- Jack of all trades, Stan Thomson a 30 year veteran of Canadian Comedy! You will love his rich storytelling approach to comedy. Having worked everywhere from oil rigs to teaching, STAN's multifaceted point of view is sure to resonate with all Calgary audiences!

• KEN HICKS (Edmonton) --- Ken has become a favorite of audiences by helping us find the funny in life. Being his dog's best friend, marrying his high school sweetheart, being a father and Grandpa, what life as a comedian is like, and even what it’s like to be a 3 time cancer survivor; never afraid of letting us laugh at him, while discovering a little about ourselves.

• Dan Schmidt (Edmonton) --- Dan hails from a small town in northern Alberta. He was always known as the class clown and now finds himself on stage delivering that same humour. DAN has been telling jokes for a number of years and his relatable humor leaves crowds in stitches and laughing hysterically.

• STU HUGHES --- Over-the-top funny! A real and genuine comic, with an effortless Ability to keep the audience glued to the non-stop action. Absurd & ridiculously hilarious!

FunnyFest produces 125 events per year including: 24th Annual FunnyFest Calgary Comedy Festival, MAY 30 to JUNE 9, 2024 (FEATURES: 20 shows, 70 performers, 6 comics per show and 11 themes); Up to 50 FUNNYFEST COMEDIANS for hire, comedy tour shows, 24th Annual FunnyFest Comedy COMPETITION, April 18 to 27, 2024. Monthly comedy series, comedy workshops, comedy writing, Christmas Comedy Special, NYE Extravaganza.

FunnyFest Comedy was founded & produced by Stu Hughes. It was conceived as a way to spread the "Gift of Laughter" by showcasing a world of hilarious COMEDY PERFORMERS and by delivering world class comedy seminars and workshops.

24th Annual FUNNYFEST Comedy does it all -- From high brow to low brow and everything in between! FunnyFest Comedy Society is a non-profit organization produced entirely by volunteers and offers MUCH MORE than it takes from the community.
