We will gather in cirlce and drink it the way our ancestors would have in ceremony and with intention. This is ceremonial grade CACAO . Optional to consume of course!! (hot herbal tea available as well) It will be prepared with spring water, cocunut sugar ginger, cinamom and cardoomom and a wee bit of sea salt.Niagara Ecstatic dance recognizes how precious this plant and medicine is and has decided to offer it on only special occasions! 3pm DOORS OPEN3:30 Doors lock and we set the container3:30- 4ishpm Cacao Ceremony, TAO Blessings, moon talk, Intention setting, guided BREATHWORK4ish - 5:30 - We DANCE to LIVE SET!!!! WE RELEASE !! WE LET GO...we Celebrate the space we are making for the new versions of our selves !5:40 - 6pm Live sound journey and closing! This is where we create a cozy nest and let our bodies melt into sound and integrate THE DANCE. A little more breakdown of the ELEMENTS🌬️ The BREATH is everything, it happens both consciously and unconsciously. When we bring our awareness to it and breathe with intention - big things can happen. 🌬️ This somatic breathwork invigorates the body, mind and spirit as we bring this up-regulating breath of life through our bodies, exploring all parts of us. 💃🏻 Dance is another powerful form of medicine to heal the mind, body and soul as physical movement aids in transmuting (stuck and or stagnant) energy held within us. 🕺🏻 Matty's ethos of how he guides ecstatic dance is through the chakra system, from root to crown; the music is to activate these different parts of us and help move the energy through our being. This whole process is powerful, and when everyone in this large group allows their magic to flow, it is an unbelievable experience. No matter what age, what gender, or what culture you are and no matter what actual dance experience you have ... ....none of that dictates your capacity to ecstatic dance! It's about the flow, the organic movement and the freedom to be! There is NO right way or wrong way! With the many ways we have to pre-qualify and validate our status as human beings in order to engage in life, I find it deeply liberating that there is a space that simply accepts me and you for who we are. A place for our nervous system to recoup and just move freely to amazing beautiful music in a safe welcoming environment. Bring all of you. Bringing something healthy and delicious to share at the end is always welcome. I will always have something ready to Nourish and ground . You are welcome to bring drums and shakers or any musical instruments you feel inclined to bring. Hula hoops and scarves are fun dance mates! Dress in comfy layers as it can certainly very in tempature so dress in layers. Most likely you will get hot so bring layers to take off! Wear what ever clothing you feel good in! You may also want to bring a blanket and or yoga mat for the sound healing or mediation at the end.
