FAQs
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes. As this is a working farm, we try to keep our attendance for these classes limited to teens (13+) and adults. However, this year we are hosting a special Family Goat Yoga class taking place on July 21, 2024. For this date only, we will allow children 6-12 yrs to attend the class, along with their adult supervisors. Our instructor will make a few adjustments to the flow of the class so it will be lots of fun for both our adult and younger attendees! There is even a special ticket rate for children attending on this date! For all of our classes we ask that only the participants come out to the farm during classes (we are not able to supervise any other visitors during these class times). We have activities at the farm that everyone can enjoy scheduled for other days, and if we have enough interest, we might offer some additional Family Goat Yoga classes - just contact us separately for details!
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
We do have limited parking at the farm, so please try to car pool if you can. We are located approximately 20 minutes west of Penticton, BC. You can locate us on the map for the event, or contact us directly if you would like additional directions.
What can I bring into the event?
- We require a signed waiver to attend activities at the farm. You can access, download, and print your waiver in advance from our website (Liability Waiver), or sign one when you get here. However, please visit our website and make sure you are familiar with our detailed FAQs.
- As previously mentioned, wear clothing and bring a yoga mat or towel that you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend bringing your own mat, however, we do have some to loan out.
- Bug spray is recommended, but please do not wear insect repellent patches (the curious goats of ours have actually eaten those).
- We'll be outside for two hours in total, so bring some water to stay hydrated.
- Don't forget your phone/camera, as there will be plenty of photo opportunities!
- Finally, as we are at the bottom of the mountains, it can be a bit cooler than in Penticton, so feel free to bring another layer in case you need it. We can get quite warm here too, so you may want to bring sunscreen, depending on what the weather looks like.
What's the refund/cancellation policy?
Sorry, no refunds unless we cancel the class due to unforseen circumstances, or if we don't get enough attendees (a good reason to get a group of your friends/family together for a class!)... however, if you can't make it, please gift it to someone who would enjoy this fun-filled event. Although we will make every effort to avoid cancellations, in the event that your particular class is cancelled, you will receive a refund for your ticket. If we have to cancel a class, we will try to notify you the day before the class, so please monitor your email and watch our Facebook page for any last-minute cancellation notifications!
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, please bring along your printed ticked for the class. If you have forgotten your ticket, make sure you know the name of the person who completed your registration so we can reference that here.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
If you have additional questions, please visit our website and check out our detailed FAQs. If you still have a question, send us a message through our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GottaGoat/), email gottagoatfarm@gmail.com, or call our farm at 250-493-4065. We may be out feeding the goats, but we'll get back to you soon! On the day of our GOGA classes, we will be out with the goats 1/2 hour prior to each class start time, so please understand we may not see messages sent immediately prior to a scheduled class.
