About the Workshop Series
This workshop introduces ggplot2, a powerful R package based on the grammar of graphics framework. In this workshops series, you will learn the critical concepts underlying the grammar and how they are implemented in ggplot2. Through a series of working examples, we cover many aspects of creating and customizing gglot graphics.
You will learn:
- to create various types of graphics,
- to assign data to various roles in a graphic,
- to modify the various features of a graphic,
- to add additional features to an existing graphic, and
- to save your graphic in various formats.
Workshop 1: Monday, November 14th, 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Workshop 2: Wednesday, November 16th, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Workshop 3: Thursday, November 17th, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
You can register to the workshop series ($36 plus fees). The fee includes 3 sessions, and 6 hours of instruction. Free for ECOSCOPE trainees (to rsvp contact email@example.com). No refunds.

About the Instructors
Davor Cubranic is a scientific programmer in the Department of Statistics and a member of Applied Statistics and Data Science Group (ASDa) He has been using R for six years and has authored eight R packages published on CRAN. Prior to joining UBC, Davor worked in the software industry developing tools for exploring and analyzing large datasets.
