Toronto Architecture Club in partnership with the Green Economy program at Chang School of Continuing Education in Ryerson University proudly present:

"Green Buildings: The Canadian Context"

Speaker:

Dr. Mark Gorgolewski, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., DIP ARCH, LEED AP.

Professor and chair of the Department of Architectural Science, Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science, Ryerson University.

Professor Mark Gorgolewski has worked for many years as an architect, researcher, educator, and environmental consultant to the construction industry with a focus on environmental issues. He has a Ph.D. in Energy Efficient Housing from Oxford Brookes University, UK. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a past member of the Board of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) and the Board of the Toronto Chapter of CaGBC, a past chair of the Association for Environment Conscious Building (AECB), and a member of the International Institute for the Sustainable Built Environment (IISBE). He has participated in advisory roles to various levels of government and other organisations on issues of sustainable design. Over 15 years he has published over 60 refereed papers and several books, and has managed over $1.5m in research funds. Mark has been a faculty member at Ryerson University since 2003 and for many years he has championed issues of sustainable design throughout the curriculum. He is currently chair of the Department of Architectural Science."
