About this event

Guelph Gentle Density | Community Information Session on Four-Unit Housing Types in Guelph

To increase housing supply and affordability while providing a range of housing types, the City of Guelph has committed to allowing 4-unit gentle density in all low-density residential zones subject to servicing capacity.

We are inviting representatives from community groups and resident organizations to participate in one of two information sessions (one virtual, one in-person; each providing the same information) to learn more about Gentle Density and share your feedback on how best to plan for four-unit housing types in the City of Guelph. We are interested in hearing your thoughts on how parking, landscaping, and building form requirements can increase 4-unit housing in Guelph while benefiting residential neighbourhoods.

This session will take place in-person at Harcourt Memorial United Church (87 Dean Avenue). Registration is not necessary but is helpful as we prepare for the sessions.

Want to join us online? Click here to register for the virtual session on Monday, February 26th from 6-8pm.

If you're unable to attend either of the information sessions, we invite you to join the public open house on Thursday, February 29th from 5-8pm at City Hall (1 Carden Street) in the Marg McKinnon room. For more information, visit the Housing Affordability Strategy webpage.

This event is being hosted by the City of Guelph and O2 (planning consultants).
