GUIDED HIKE THROUGH AN OLD CAPE BRETON ACADIAN FOREST with Ruthe Macauley and Bill Oprel.

Ruthe and Bill are the 2018 Woodlands Owners of the Year for Eastern Nova Scotia and recipients of the 2018 Sustainable Practices from Forest Nova Scotia.

Offering two hikes, a shorter & a longer hike, you will hike on trails within an Acadian forest to see /learn about sustainable, ecological forestry practices. This woodland offers broad biodiversity within its forest ecosystems.

Meet at 9am on Sunday Oct 6, 2019 at the Mabou Marina on waterfront in Mabou, (Hwy 19 near the bridge) to be led up the Mabou Ridge Rd (or car pool) to the woodlot hike. (18 min. Trip)

Tour starts at 9:30am-11:30am
