Hear from the author of the perfect companion for family days out in the Scottish Highlands, 'Highland Walks: Perth to Inverness'
About this event
Nick Drainey takes to the National Library of Scotland’s online stage to share from his new book, 'Highland Walks: Perth to Inverness'. Talked about as ‘the perfect companion for family days out in the Scottish Highlands,’ the travel guide gives descriptions of some beautiful Scottish walks, suitable for all ages and abilities.
The book is peppered with interesting facts, stories, and fun ideas of how to keep younger walkers engaged throughout the walks: there really is a walk for all within these pages.
Nick Drainey is a freelance journalist whose love for the outdoors is the basis for his regular contributions to Scottish Field, Scotland on Sunday, and The Scots Magazine. He has written three walking guides and maintains a blog dedicated to exploring Scotland’s walks and environment. He also runs www.walking-scotland.com
