About this event
Organized by
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is Canada’s largest and most influential business association. It is the primary and vital connection between business and the federal government. The Canadian Chamber of Commerce also operates as "ICC Canada," Canada’s National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the world's largest business organization working to promote international trade, responsible business conduct and a global approach to regulation to accelerate inclusive and sustainable growth.
The ICC Canada Arbitration Committee includes some of the world’s leading practitioners in international arbitration. These Canadian lawyers and arbitrators are familiar with a variety of legal systems, reside in many different international locations and speak more than a dozen languages.
The ICC Canada Arbitration Committee works to promote the understanding and use of arbitration in resolving business disputes. The Committee also raises the profile of Canadian arbitrators and arbitration practitioners both within Canada and abroad, conducts educational conferences on international arbitration and encourages parties to choose Canadian cities as seats for international arbitration.
The ICC Canada Arbitration Committee is also the vital link between Canadian users and practitioners of international arbitration and the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, the ICC's rule-making and research body in the field of international dispute resolution and a global forum for the development and assessment of new practices, policies and legislation affecting international arbitration and other dispute resolution services.
The ICC Canada Arbitration Committee is responding to requests by the ICC Secretariat for proposals of Canadians to serve as arbitrators in ICC cases.
