In Person Event sponsored and hosted by Amica Taunton at 85 Taunton Road East, Whitby! Participants will receive an up close, hands-on experience that provides critical insight into the world of dementia. This program is invaluable to people who are caring for a person living with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. When someone is diagnosed with dementia, it affects everyone: the family, friends, and professional caregivers. The Virtual Dementia Tour® helps shed light on what it might be like to live with Dementia.

What can I expect?
Participants go through the Tour individually. To register, you will select a specific time slot within the 2 hour period. On arrival at your designated time you will be outfitted with gear that alters your senses (e.g., vision, hearing, touch) in order to experience what it might be like to live with dementia. You will have an opportunity to reflect on and talk about your experience. Please wear socks and closed toe footwear. Please allocate approximately 60 minutes for the Tour. If you are interested in doing the Tour as part of a small group, please contact the organizer.
