Description

Graduate Diploma in Advanced Professional Studies in Education (GDE) programs are designed in collaboration with BC school districts for teachers whose primary focus is school-based practice.

Classes run in the evenings or weekends in all terms (Fall, Spring and Summer) of the academic year during the 2-year program. There is a one-week Summer Institute in August and no classes in July.

  • Exploration, Innovation and Inclusion in the French Classroom/Exploration, innovation et inclusion en
    classe de français (Burnaby/Surrey)

  • Exploration et innovation en classe de français/Exploration and Innovation in the French Classroom
    (Vancouver Island)

  • Exploring Maker Pedagogy in Education (Langley)

  • Inclusive Education (Victoria)

  • Learning in the Early Years, K-3 (Surrey/Langley)

  • Place and Nature-based Experiential Learning (Vancouver)

  • Teachers as Collaborative Mentors, Innovative Educators and Transformative Leaders (Burnaby)

GDE Features: Range of Program Themes, Cohort Based, 2 years (6 terms), and TQS Upgrade Opportunity.

Programs are open to teachers outside of the hosting school district. You do not need to be a part of that school district to apply or be admitted into the program. The classes will, however, take place in the hosting school district.
