About this event

Inspired by HER, presented by the BeaYOUtiful Foundation, is a FREE city-wide conference open to female and non-binary identifying youth ages 8-12, that is focused on building self-love, self-worth and confidence.

The event features three rotating workshops that the attendees move through, each key note speaker highlighting a diverse range of topics including embracing failure as success, finding your POWER, and leading with passion and purpose. Participants will take part in open floor discussions, variations of artistic expression, a dance class, interactive activities and leadership-inspired workshops. Each attendee is paired with a Soul Sister for the day, an empowering mentor to connect with while building new friendships with girls from diverse communities!

A Registered Canadian Charity, the BeaYOUtiful Foundation works with young girls across Canada, providing programs and events that inspire confidence-building and positive body image through mentorship.

*Please Note* This conference is only for female and non-binary identifying individuals between the ages of 8-12. Parents can drop their child off at registration check-in (9:45 - 10:30 a.m.), and pickup their child after the conference (4:00 p.m.).

Frequently asked questions

What will my child do at Inspired By HER?

Participants will rotate through a three-part workshop series. Each workshop focuses on a different topic : Embracing Failure as Success, Finding your POWER & Leading with Passion and Purpose. Participants are paired with a mentor for the day and rotate with their larger age group to each workshop.

Can I attend Inspired By HER with my child?

At this time, Inspired By HER is for female and non-binary identifying youth ages 8 to 12. Parents are not allowed to attend the event. Each participant is paired with an inspirational female mentor for the day, providing a safe and fun environment with supervision at the venue.

When should I arrive to drop off and pick up my child at Inspired By HER?

Doors open at 9:45am for drop off at Daniels Spectrum. Pick up starts at 4:00pm. Please note all parent/guardians are required to sign their child both IN and OUT of the event for safety. If you are carpooling and/or dropping off a group of children, you can sign on behalf of the child's parent.

How much does it cost to attend Inspired By HER?

Thanks to our incredible sponsors, Inspired By HER is provided free of charge for all youth attendees. Lunch and snacks are included!

What should my child wear? Anything they should bring with them to the event?

There is light movement and activity involved in the workshops, therefor we encourage participants to wear something comfortable and they can move in! Please bring a reusable water bottle to the event to stay hydrated.

Should I pack lunch and snacks for my child?

Thanks to our donors, lunch and snacks are provided for free at the event. When registering please list any dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate allergies and restrictions, however you are welcome to pack lunch and snacks for your child to bring. *ALL food must be nut-free
