"What's on the table this year, Waterloo Region?"
It's easy to see that widespread loneliness, rising polarization, and growing social and economic inequities are reaching epidemic proportions. Our connections, our care for each other, our sense of community, are in jeopardy. We all face a crisis of belonging.
This year, we've invited four women whose work promotes a deep sense of belonging, in which everyone feels connected, supported, included, valued and safe. This work runs the gamut of Reconciliation, Inclusion, Immigration, Equity, and Diversity.
Paula Whitlow is Director, Truth & Reconciliation with Region of Waterloo; Zohra Wali is Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator with City of Cambridge;Geraldine Stafford is Manager, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion with Waterloo Region Police Services. Janet Howitt, a long-time member of the Breakfast planning committee and former Coordinator of the Belonging Steering Group at Immigration Partnership Waterloo Region will act as moderator.
Their individual stories and their interactions will help us take a deeper dive into what work for "Belonging" can mean.
Join guests from the many religious, spiritual and philosophical traditions in Waterloo Region to enjoy delicious food and to reflect on the common concerns of our community.
We are most grateful to our major sponsor, Kindred Credit Union, as well as to the Region of Waterloo, the Cities of Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo, and the Townships of North Dumfries, Wellesley, Woolwich, and Wilmot for their financial support again this year.

Frequently asked questions
Breakfast officially starts at 7:00. However, doors will open at 6:30 and food will be ready shortly after that.
There is lots of parking at Bingemans. We'll be in the Ballroom, which is at the left end of the building on the left as you come down the hill. Most of the parking is behind the building, but there are a few spots out front.
You can. but it's a bit of a walk. Take the 204 or 205 to the corner of Victoria and Lackner. Then it's about 1.8 km north along Bingeman Centre Drive.
Food price increases have hit banquet halls just as badly as everyone else. We've included the online registration fee in the ticket price again this year. We've also built in a small cushion to help fund tickets for those who cannot afford them.
We have some very generous sponsors who are willing to subsidize ticket prices for those who need this help. You can request a subsidized ticket by sending an email to InterfaithCommunityBreakfast@gmail.com.
We gratefully accept cheques and e-transfers. Please email InterfaithCommunityBreakfast@gmail.com for more information.
Yes, there is! A full table of 6 tickets is available for $275. This year, we're putting only 6 people at each table so that no one has their back to the stage.
We have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. And Bingemans is fully accessible physically. If you have other needs, please give us some details in the "Particular Requirements" question or email us and we'll contact you to figure things out together.
