Frequently asked questions

Does this qualify for Continuing Education Credits?

We are currently getting approved for CEC so stay tuned for confirmation of this.

Do I need to be a licensed mental health pro to attend?

Ideally you have some training in mental health provision when attending this event. For example: You are a student in a mental health training program, you're completing a practicum, you're new to the field, mid career, or a crispy seasoned clinician looking for inspiration.

What are the benefits of applying a feminist lens to your psychotherapy work?

Clients, counsellors and clinical supervisors will all be challenging and moving away from harmful and oppressive systems like patriarchy, supremacy culture, colonisation and capitalism. We all feel more empowered, less harmed, and more hopeful that our actions can change the world.

Do I need to take all levels if I'm already a practicing feminist therapist?

We encourage all practitioners to sign up for levels 1-6 within a year. If you're already practicing feminist therapy, you will learn something new in each level.

If I want to attend in person, who do I notify?

Once you've signed up for your selected levels/dates, please email admin@peak-resilience.com to note what dates of training you're signed up for, and that you're attending in person at 601-808 Nelson St.

The syllabus is long, can you please summarise what happens in each level?

Level 1- History, Definition of concepts; Level 2- Personal exploration of identity/social locations; Level 3- Apply theory to practice; Level 4- Diagnosis, treatment planning and termination of therapy; Level 5- trauma integration; Level 6- Demonstration and discussion.

Is there a sliding scale if I can't afford the price?

The price of $85+tax per day rounds out to be $12.14/hr, which is competitive for engaging live training. If you are struggling to attend because of the price, please email admin@peak-resilience.com and we can discuss discount options based on your situation.
