Course Description:
Throughout this hour, learn the basics of navigating the Linux OS and basic scripting with Bash. You'll learn:
- navigation in a shell environment
- text file creation, editing, search and replace
- pulling data from the internet
- writing simple bash scripts
Prerequisites:
Access to a bash shell. If you are on OS X or a Linux distribution this is built in. If you are on Windows please install one of Cygwin (https://www.cygwin.com/), MobaXterm (https://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/), or Linux subsystem for Windows (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install).
