Description
Sicilian cuisine is one of the most interesting in all of Italy.
Because of the history and geography of the island there are many foreign influences, including North African, Arab, Spanish, French and Greek. And since it’s in the middle of the Mediterranean, it’s not surprising that Sicily has some of the best fish and seafood dishes you’ll find.
This event is going to be a feast, so come hungry and wear loose clothing!
Antipasti
Arancini di Riso (Sicilian-style rise balls with mozzarella and spicy sauce)
Insalata di Finocchi e Arance (orange and fennel salad)
Involtini di Pesce Spada (Sword fish rolls with tomatoes, capers, olives)

Primi
Homemade Fettucine with Pistacchio pesto
Timballo di Anelletti al Forno (baked small ring pasta with bolognese, pecorino, mozzarella)

There are quite a few Sicilian wines at the LCBO these days. Nero D’Avola is the most popular red, or if you prefer white, Grillo is a nice variety typical of the region.
