Summary


Recent Changes to National Building Code and a recent letter from the Calgary Fire Marshall Office have brought to the forefront several issues with respect to the use and current installation of maglocks in Calgary and Alberta that may affect existing Doors with Maglocks already in place and will definitely affect installations moving forward.


James Sanford of The Attain Group will discuss current Maglock requirements, changes to the National Building Code and Address the recent interpretation of Maglock use as pertains to CFD and the Fire Marshall issued letter that is specific to the Calgary area (and that will have implications for other Alberta Jurisdictions).
