Recipes for Transformative Education

Calling all educators! Are you interested in incorporating environmental education into your teaching practice, but don't know how to get started? If so, this workshop series is for you! Unleash the power of nature in your classroom through hands-on experiential learning!

T his workshop series includes six individual workshops delivered over the school year, and is targeted at school teachers, home-school educators, nature interpreters and youth group leaders working with elementary and middle years youth (K-8). Sign up for one workshop or join us for multiple sessions!

Each session is 120 minutes long:

What's Included?

By taking part in each workshop you will receive:

  • A spot in our live interactive workshops highlighting how to integrate environmental education and nature into each subject area.
  • A set of "recipe cards" with activity ideas and tips for incorporating nature-based learning into each subject area.
  • Access to CWF's online learning library filled with sample activities, supplemental educational resources, factsheets and student projects.


T hose who attend 3 or more sessions will also receive:

  • A print copy of our Project WILD activity guide featuring 146 fun, interdisciplinary activities, games, and lesson plans for all ages and abilities. Please note that activity guides can only be shipped to Canadian addresses.
  • A Project WILD professional development certificate awarded by CWF.


Tech Requirements

  • All sessions will be hosted on Zoom. Participants will need access to a computer or laptop equipped with sound and video, as well as a reliable internet connection.
