The Kootenay EcoFest is intended to bring people together to learn about how they can reduce thier carbon emissions through using wild foods, reusing disgarded items, repairing broken or worn out items, and recycling waste into new products. The festival includes a number of workshops, a reuse, repair and recycling market, a 100 mile fundraising dinner featuring local chefs and wild edibles (limited to 60 people - contact Craig at koelscoiety@gmail.com or purchase at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/100-mile-chefs-choice-potluck-tickets-871253782517). Saturday evening there will be some informative and visually stunning talks followed by a dance featuring the Latin Lovers. Food truck all day and refreshments available at the dance. Please note that tickets to the evening festivities will be only available at the venue $40.
