Event description
Join us to celebrate the launch of the Guelph Institute for Environmental Research (GIER)!

About this Event

GIER is an exciting new research institute that encompasses all seven colleges at the University of Guelph. GIER will unite the outstanding environmental research underway at the University of Guelph, provide new opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, and showcase our strengths to national and international audiences.

Join us in the Atrium of the Summerlee Science Complex as we celebrate the launch of this new institute with food, drink, and words of support from Mayor Cam Guthrie, Honorable MPP Mike Schreiner, UofG President Dr. Franco Vaccarino, and Dr. Madhur Anand, inaugural Executive Director of GIER.

Registration is complimentary, and includes refreshments and one complimentary beverage. Cash bar available. Dress code is business casual.

Please RSVP by Monday, October 14, so that we can best prepare for the event.

Please see this searchable map of campus if you need directions to the Summerlee Science Complex, or find us on Google Maps! Note that parking is free at any of the "Black/Orange" Staff Permit lots (orange squares on the map) after 5pm.
