Humanity is racing towards an irreversible climate tragedy, but there is good news: many of the solutions we need already exist — and have been developed right here in Canada.
Mission from MaRS is an ambitious technology adoption program addressing the climate crisis. Mission from MaRS: Carbon Management is the second in a series of initiatives helping ventures overcome the obstacles of scaling the adoption of their technologies.
Achieving net-zero goals will require more than just reducing emissions. Negative-emission innovations such as carbon dioxide removal, including technological, oceanic, geological and biological approaches, as well as carbon utilization, will be vital to keeping global warming below that critical 2-degree Celsius threshold.
The Carbon Management Mission will focus on enabling the commercialization of negative-emission innovations and empowering buyers and decision makers in the Canadian carbon market.
Join us Thursday, June 15, as we launch the Carbon Management Mission and reveal how we aim to tackle the challenges and barriers facing innovative ventures and adopters.
