This event takes place on the unceded, occupied, and ancestral homelands of the Coast Salish people, specifically the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh).
This is the best way to help Populous Map and challenge what we think of as history in this region.
Come out and learn some of the techniques to digitizing, how we upload to the website, and why building a digital archive is resistance. We're coming off another summer of great community building and documenting but we need your help to push these archives further.
It takes an interested eye, patience, and a heart of gold.

Please bring a laptop if you have one.
This event is accessible, with a double wide door and one level throughout. When you arrive, you'll need to text or call 7783855262 so I can come and meet you at the accessible door. From there we will take an elevator up one floor.
The chairs at radius are hard back chairs with no arms. There are some low to the ground living room style chairs, and two benches with tables that pull away from them.
-
The washrooms are single rooms with only one toilet in each.
-
We will supply snacks, kombucha, tea, and coffee but would love it if you bring some snacks along too.
I'm happy to make space to include you, if this means finding translation or things to do that don't involve typing, reading. Anything! Let's connect.
Children and families are invited, though the activities are not easily adapted for young folks.
