Let’s Get to Work 2016 is inviting individuals and organizations to join in the quest to tackle one of the big unanswered questions facing employers and employees today, “why invest in people?”
In the turbulent 21st Century environment governments are walking a budget tight rope, educators are being asked to do more with less, the purpose of post-secondary education is being questioned, and businesses are trying to thrive while navigating a new and uncertain economic reality.
In the pervasive attempt to maximize “efficiencies”, what happens to people? In uncertain times is there a solid justification for investing in them? And more importantly, what’s the impact if you do?
Investing in people isn’t new, but the intersections between employers, employees, educators, and Career Development professionals are changing. How do successful businesses invest in people? Is there space for Career Development professionals to enter the conversation? What role do educators play? What do employees want?
This year’s symposium will ask these questions and explore the challenges and benefits of a commitment to people, asking participants to consider the possibilities and potential of developing Manitoba talent.
Join us for what promises to be a lively discussion on the building blocks of success: Investing in People.
The Let’s Get to Work symposium is Manitoba’s only Career Development focused event dedicated to demographics, research, and current labour market trends.
The goal is to provide a solutions-focused space where the intersections between career development, employment, and education can be explored and a greater sense of shared responsibility can be found.
The event provides a vehicle for insightful discussion of Career Development, one which we hope will bring cutting-edge research and discussion annually to Manitoba.
Let’s Get to Work symposium provides an excellent venue in which to showcase your business, research and practice.
