Brought to you by our PRISM Employee Resource Group, this seminar will help ensure your interactions are inclusive to members of the LGBT+ community. Using City of London specific and practical examples, the following topics will be covered:

  • Intro to LGBT+ terminology
  • The importance of pronouns
  • Distinguishing between gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation and sex assigned at birth
  • Collecting and recording data, particularly where it may not match identification – best practices for forms and systems
  • Do’s and don’ts for inclusive language - verbally and in writing
  • What to do when you make a mistake
  • Creating an inclusive physical space
